It’s unanimous — Chicago’s City Council voted to approve a new Walmart in Pullman Park. Thanks to the work of activists like you across the city, Walmart is able to take the first big step towards bringing new jobs, creating more economic opportunity, and ending food deserts in Chicago. (more…)

Five-Year Initiative Focused on Job Creation, Eradicating Food Deserts and Stimulating Local Economic Development in the City
CHICAGO, IL., June 21 – Walmart today announced a goal to work with the city to build several dozen stores that create approximately 12,000 jobs in Chicago over the next five years as part of a long-term initiative called the “Chicago Community Investment Partnership.” (more…)
